  1. Post update

Play on! So often we’ve seen the pattern of a game change after the break, let’s see.

  2. Post update

And that is drinks, at both games.

  3. GREAT SAVE!

    Everton 0-0 Southampton

Good hit but it’ll takemore than that to beat Alex McCarthy at the moment! Anthony Gordon’s early cross from the left runs all the way through to Alex Iwobi, he takes a touch and then smashes in a shot at the near post, McCarthy bats it away.

  4. Drinks disruption

I think the drinks break can disrupt the flow of the game but it’s an opportunity to get some tactical information into the game.

It can take the steam out of it, if my team are playing and have the upper hand, I don’t want that drinks break coming.

  5. Post update

    Bournemouth 0-0 Tottenham

Harry Kane has to clear from inside his own goalmouth as Jefferson Lerma heads on a free-kick. Bournemouth trying to build up a head of steam…

  7. Post update

    Bournemouth 0-0 Tottenham

Au contraire Jon, the VAR decision actually took about 10 seconds to not give a penalty for that push on Harry Kane.

The Bournemouth free-kick came to nothing, by the way.

Rich Boston:How’s that not a penalty for Spurs? What is VAR looking at there? So inconsistent.

SMS Message: Is it normal for VAR to take five minutes to come through whilst the players carry on playing? Because that’s the only possible explanation for what was going on while we waited for that stonewall penalty to be given. from Jon, Spurs fan

  9. Post update

    Bournemouth 0-0 Tottenham

Chance here for the Cherries as Callum Wilson works a free-kick out wide. Send the big men up!

  10. Post update

    Everton 0-0 Southampton

Southampton continue to look the more likely, swarming in black and yellow like wasps at a picnic. They craft an opening for James Ward-Prowse on the edge of the area but his shot is well charged down.

You expected better there, he normally strikes the ball beautifully.

  11. YELLOW CARD

    Everton 0-0 Southampton

Stuart Armstrong gives the ball away, works back to get it back but fouls Richarlison and is in the book.

Lucas Digne whips the set-piece tight around the wall and wide. Decent attempt.

  12. Post update

    Everton 0-0 Southampton

What a ball! James Ward-Prowse gets it in the centre-circle, looks up and dinks a cracking ball over the top. Kyle Walker-Peters is on the charge from right-back and it looks like he’s going to be able to run in and volley that – he just can’t get there.

I asked this the other night when KWP was excellent but is there a better right-back at parent club Tottenham?

  13. Post update

    Bournemouth 0-0 Tottenham

A bit slower and more methodical down south but that’s better from Josh King, he beats his man on the left and is about to put the ball in when he’s well challenged. That’s a corner – comes to nothing.

  14. Post update

    Everton 0-0 Southampton

Southampton are a decent watch at the moment. Coming forwards in numbers and at real pace.

  15. DISALLOWED GOAL

    Everton 0-0 Southampton

Southampton have the ball in the net but the flag is raised – and it looked offside in real time.

Fine play from Danny Ings down the left, he runs Yerry Mina and chips to the back post. Che Adams comes on to it, doesn’t catch his volley totally cleanly but is able to pick out Stuart Armstrong in the middle, who fires into the roof of the net.

Armstrong looked offside though, and he was.

  16. ‘Looks like a pen’

    Bournemouth 0-0 Tottenham

    Steven Reid

It certainly looks like a penalty.

Joshua King went straight into the back of Harry Kane.

When I look at this Bournemouth team, they are not the biggest or strongest physically and any set-piece will be dangerous against them.

  17. Post update

    Everton 0-0 Southampton

I do like that Everton/Beatles banner in the Gwladys, very nicely done. Southampton are the latest to threaten from a set-piece, bit of indecision from Jordan Pickford in the Everton goal and they just about clear their lines.

  18. Video Assistant Referee

    Bournemouth 0-0 Tottenham

VAR have a look at that, it was Josh King with a hand in the back of Harry Kane – no decision given though…

  19. PENALTY APPEAL

    Bournemouth 0-0 Tottenham

First scare for the Cherries and that is close – Serge Aurier flashing a low cross into the middle and it just needed a touch. Adam Smith is able to put it away for a corner.

Harry Kane then goes down looking for a penalty – Colombia style. He was pushed…

  20. Post update

    Everton 0-0 Southampton

Everton force an early corner and Lucas Digne flights it in nicely but there’s no connection on the end of it.
